FOOD SAFETY
At the level of food safety, we are increasingly focused on guaranteeing the internal safety and well-being of our employees, we have the implementation of the ISO 45001 standard, which is the guarantee that all safety processes are being implemented in all sectors and departments of the company.
NORMA IFS
IFS Food is important for all food producers and manufacturers, but especially for those who produce so-called "Own Brands", as this standard contains many requirements related to the conformity of specifications. In this way, it supports the production and marketing efforts with safety and quality of the corresponding brands.
IFS Food is a standard aligned with all versions of the GFSI guide documents since 2002. The last version of the standard was in April 2023, including food fraud requirements (risk validation, control measures and monitoring of them) on the recommendation of the GFSI Guide.
The IFS Food standard voluntarily goes beyond the requirements recommended by the GFSI Guide, integrating quality criteria that guarantee the conformity of the products and continuous improvements, either in their own products or in the labels of the "own brand".
GFSI PROCESS
Global Food Safety Initiative – GFSI defines food defense as the process to ensure the safety of food, food ingredients and packaging from any intentional malicious attacks, including ideologically motivated attacks, leading to contamination of food or unsafe products for consumption.
That is why the motivation or root of the cause that is treated in the food defense is the intention to cause harm to consumers or companies. This context differs from the motivation proven with evidence in food fraud, where the intention is related to economic profit. And that also differs food safety, in which there is no intention to cause damage, unless it is a proven accidental contamination.
NORMA BRCGS Food Safety
BRCGS Food Safety (British Retail Consortium) is a global standard for food safety, which aims to ensure the food safety of products and packaging, from suppliers to retailers.
The BRCGS Food Safety certificate is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), a program that aims to harmonize international food safety standards being recognized by the most important retailers and producers in the food field in the world. Being recognized by the GFSI, the BRCGS Food Safety can be used as a great global reference to respond to the demands of these organizations through a single internationally recognized food safety management system.
GLOBALG.A.P. CHAIN OF CUSTODY (CoC)
Parallel with these two quality systems, we also hold the GLOBALG.A.P. Chain of Custody (CoC) certification, which transparently manages all the information about a particular fruit and vegetable product, segregating all the products that have the GLOBALG.A.P. certification.
